Conflict resolution book reference

Hi --
Earlier this year I was reading a book or article on conflict resolution
which cited a book or a pamphlet or something by some folks (2 women, I
think, but am not sure) who work with the pro-life and pro-choice factions on
a national level. They have a process they use in which they first let
people express their fears about being there and then move to the next steps.
I can't remember either the original book or where to find out more about
this process. Does anyone out there know?
I know there is a dispute or conflict resolution listserve as well where I
might post this inquiry, but I don't know the address. Sure would appreciate
some help!
Thanks.
Cathy

Cathy:
The group you are describing sounds very much like Search
for Common Ground. They use a structured dialogue process
and have done a lot with the Pro-Choice - Pro-Life groups,
among others. Their website (I had some problems with it
loading properly - dunno if it's the website or my browser
at the moment):
http://www.searchforcommonground.org/
They have a recent publication by Cohen & Prior which might
be what you are looking for. They have a sub-page dealing
directly with the topic with phone number:
http://www.sfcg.org/networkm.htm
Two people I am aware of who has worked on it are Mary
Jackstreit and Adrienne Kaufmann (Adrienne recently wrote a
dissertation on her work on the topic).
Conflict resolutin sites are numerous. If you e-mail me
off-line (unless this is of interest to a wider group on the
listserv) with a bit more of an idea specifically what you
are interested in, I probably can help.
