Dear friends and colleagues in Open Space Technology,

We offer you a program for your learning and professional development that
focuses on preparing you to train "in-house" teams in bringing about
Organizational Transformation that is sustainable and evolving. We believe
that the primary work for consultants with Open Space Technology will shift
from facilitating Open Space Technology meetings to training "in-house"
teams to bring about their change from within, with external consultants
working as coaches (with clear intention that the organization not be
consultant dependent) with limited involvement, never taking away from the
organization their learning that they have the wisdom from within to do what
they need for organizational health and peak performance.

It is our vision that many organizations will request this in-house
training, recognizing the wisdom of leading change from within.

The development of our program, based on all that we have learned since 1992
about  Open Space Organizations, has taken a long time and a lot of
experimentation and learning, and we are pleased now to offer the program
that we call Genuine Contact. We are committed to organizations that work
better, are effective, achieve the results that they set out to achieve, and
are organizations that value the humans within them. A foundational
component of the Genuine Contact Program is Open Space Technology. However,
there are other components that make up the Genuine Contact Program and
prepare you for training "in-house" teams to facilitate their own change
process. We discovered that frequent use of Open Space Technology alone is
not enough to bring about Organizational Transformation.

We conduct all that we do from a belief that we are all connected through
Spirit and that the primary work we do on earth is relationship work. This
involves learning to make Genuine Contact with the self; Genuine Contact
with another; Genuine Contact with a collective, group (organization); and
Genuine Contact with the earth. And throughout all of this, we as spiritual
beings having a human experience find our way to Genuine Contact with
Spirit.

In Open Space Technology, we assist in the uncovering of what is already
present. In the Open Space Organization we assist in uncovering what is
already present. It all requires Genuine Contact to be realized.

The Genuine Contact Program is made up of five learning intensives: Open
Space Technology basics; Process Facilitation;
Cross Cultural Conflict Resolution; the Advanced Session in Open Space
Technology focusing on the Open Space Organization; and the "train the
trainer" session.

The entire Program focuses on the belief that there is no Model or
prescription to bring about the Open Space Organization nor will any two
Open Space Organizations be the same as each other. The Program stays true
to the belief that the wisdom to do what is needed is present in the
organization. There is essence to be understood. There are key ingredients
to be attended to. Every participant in the Genuine Contact Program is
challenged to develop their own perception and interpretation of each of the
processes to be used and to conduct their work from their understanding of
the essence of each, supported by key ingredients in the form.



Open Space Technology-four days- the basic Open Space Technology learning
intensive focusing on the form of Open Space Technology, the essence of Open
Space Technology, and working with the sponsor prior to and after the Open
Space Technology meeting. We work with this basics program to prepare
facilitators to facilitate Open Space Technology meetings and to continue
with their personal development to develop and evolve in their understanding
of Open Space Technology.Facilitating Open Space Technology can be learned
in four days and yet the learning will likely go on for a lifetime.

Process Facilitation--two days--the basics of facilitating process in
others. To be used for meetings of staff when Open Space Technology is not
appropriate. Meetings other than those facilitated in Open Space Technology
must be led in ways that are congruent with the essence of Open Space
Technology. Other meeting facilitation formats that are congruent with Open
Space Technology work well. Our experience that works best is process
facilitation. Basics of process facilitation can be learned in two days and
yet the learning will likely go on for a lifetime.

Cross Cultural Conflict Resolution--two days--the basics of cross cultural
conflict resolution to be used when conflict has been identified in the
organization as a result of Open Space Technology and Process Facilitated
meetings and is a left over after one of these meetings. This program
focuses on some basic universal ways of resolving conflict for situations
where the group or pair wishes to resolve their conflict. The basics are
learned, and yet the learning of resolving conflict goes on for a lifetime.

Advanced Open Space Technology  focusing on the Open Space
Organization --four days--the basics of learning the form and the essence of
the Open Space Organization. Facilitators work with their interpretation and
perception of the Open Space Organization. Only for participants who have
taken a basics training program with a seasoned trainer in Open Space
Technology.

Train the Trainer --four days--the basics of learning how to teach others in
the Genuine Contact Program to bring about organizational transformation.
This component is available only to those who have taken the other four
components. Upon completion of the five components of the Genuine Contact
Program, participants are authorized to use the Genuine Contact Program in
organizations, to conduct "in-house" training programs.

Locations: various locations and dates around the world
Time commitment: 16 days of training over a period of a year or more.
