OS and certification

Mr. Owen,
I've been reading all yours and everyone else's comments on the list just to
learn about OS.  I participated in one about six months ago, and became very
interested in knowing more about it.  I'm just wondering how a person would
get some training on it?  I'm in Orange County, Southern California, and
would like to come to an OS event just to learn.  I have your book "OS
Technology" and have read it.
