Hello Koos and everyone on the OSlistserv,

I appreciate Koos's suggestions for listing my PowerPoint presentation
(about using OST with groups of youth and adults) on the web for anyone to
download, as well as offering to send it to people as a self-playing CD-ROM.
However, I am not sure how to use either of the methods he suggested, and do
not have the time right now to learn.

So, I have told Peggy Holman that I will be sending a copy of the
PowerPoint slideshow to her office. Perhaps Koos can work with Peggy to get
the slide show converted to a download on the OS website. How does that
sound, Koos and Peggy? I'm assuming that if this works out, anyone
interested may download a copy from the OS website, at no cost.

Those of you who still wish to get a CD-ROM version mailed to you, when I
get them reproduced, can still request one by sending me a PRIVATE email
(buzz at nwlink.com) and including your mailing address. As I said in my
original posting, the mailed CD-ROM version will cost $15.00 (US) and should
be available in a few weeks.

Due to the large size of the presentation, I am NOT able to send it as an
attachment to a email message. It would tie up my computer and internet
service too much.

I hope this whole subject is of interest to some folks out there and is not
becoming too complicated.

All the best.

Hi everybody on the OS-list
I and my collegues who joined the ”OS-course” that Ingrid Olausson
performed in the beginning of the year have held quite a few events now.
Within our organization (county labour board/employment offices in
west-sweden) the demand of our services is high but we also did some
external events. I have an idea I can't get out of my mind. I would like to
hear if any of you have tried something like it or what you think of it.
In our county we spend about 200 million US $ this year on employment
training. Right now we develop methods to engage employers directly in the
whole process of planning of the programs and selection of participants. We
do also strive for greater flexibility due to the rapid changes of the
labour market. Wouldn't Open Space fit just perfectly?
My idea is to invite employers within a specific branch or according to an
interest for a specific skill/competence. Within OST they could find each
other and develop their ideas. I am also thinking about making a guarantee
that we will start the programs they develop as soon as possible after the
event. How far we will reach within OST depends partly on how clear they
are about the needs of their company. Actually the more I write about it
the clearer is my belief that it will work. What do you think?
Greetings Thomas
