When we write invitations to large group events we try to include:

For the NTs     theory base for the process
For the NFs     relevance of the process
For the SJs     outcomes of the process
For the SPs     description of the events and timelines

Open Space is new for me too but I think I might try something similar.
We also generally have a q and q session with the staff prior to an
event so that they can get a chance to understand what we are doing and
that their participation is critical - the S's seem to like it and it
gives them time to internalize the process so that they are not
surprised on the day of the event = perhaps this isn't required in OS?
